Wisconsin students take the money and run

Read this article from The Post Crescent of several Appleton, Wisconsin students who were given $100 each from Xavier High School Principal, Matt Reynebeau, and challenged to pay the generosity forward.

The students and some of their teachers found creative ways to accomplish this. Several decided to simply take the $100 and give it away to charity. The more industrious decided to use the money to make money. Through iPod raffles, partnerships with a local Build-a-Bear store and other small fundraising efforts, the $100 grew into much larger gifts that were payed forward.

It’s great to see such enlightened teenagers take an excited interest in philanthropy.
